Memory Design Engineer

The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with full-custom memory design and architectures, as well as a strong understanding of characterization, layout design, net-listers, and SRAM design verification.

  • 8+ years of experience in designing and verifying complex memory structures
  • Expertise in working with advanced nodes (TSMC: 7nm/5nm/3nm)
  • Proficient in Cadence Virtuoso layout editor and Caliber Physical Verification Flow
  • Strong knowledge of good layout practices for lower process nodes (7nm and 5nm)
  • Experience in optimizing layouts for yield enhancement and manufacturing robustness
  • Ability to work on FinFET architecture and address process-dependent effects like electro-migration (EM) and IR drop

Responsibilities:

  • Create detailed and optimized physical layouts for memory cells, arrays, and peripheral circuits using tools like Cadence Virtuoso or Synopsys Custom Compiler
  • Perform debugging of silicon failures and identify layout-related issues
  • Develop and implement effective debug strategies to ensure high-quality layouts
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate memory designs into larger systems

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
  • 8+ years of experience in memory design and verification
  • Strong understanding of digital logic and microarchitecture
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
