Business Intelligence Analyst Role

A Business Intelligence Analyst's role entails collecting, analyzing and interpreting data to uncover insights that inform business strategies and enhance operations.

They employ programming, statistical analysis, machine learning techniques and problem-solving skills to identify patterns, develop predictive models and communicate findings to stakeholders.

Proficiency in script-based solutions and data visualization is essential for effective communication of results.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collecting and organizing data using statistical methods and problem-solving skills.
  • Developing solutions to problems encountered in data collection and cleaning, as well as developing statistical models and algorithms.
  • Gathering data from multiple sources and preparing it for analysis.
  • Interpreting large volumes of structured and unstructured data to identify trends and patterns.
  • Developing machine learning models and predictive algorithms to solve business problems.
  • Validating findings using statistical techniques and ensuring accuracy.
  • Creating clear, engaging visualizations and reports to communicate results effectively.
  • Collaborating with different teams to apply data-driven insights.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business analytics, information systems or a related field.
  • 5-8 years of experience in a business analyst or data analyst role (SFIA level 3-4).
  • Proficiency in Python, C++, SQL and data visualization tools.
  • Knowledge of AWS Bedrock and GCP Vertox.
  • MLops scalability and model development expertise.
  • Experience with containerization (Docker).
  • Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written.
  • Ability to collaborate with business stakeholders with proactivity and cross-functional collaboration capabilities.
