Job Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Infrastructure Setup:
  • Verify that target servers meet system requirements for each product (OS, CPU, RAM, disk space).
  • Ensure servers have access to necessary repositories and allow inbound/outbound network traffic as required.
Product Configuration:
  • Install R, Python, and Quarto, ensuring multiple versions can be supported.
  • Configure Workbench through configuration files, setting up users, session management, resource limits, etc.
  • Start Workbench service and ensure it runs on startup.
  • Access Workbench through web browser to verify installation is successful.
Additional Products:
  • Download and install Posit Connect package for your OS.
  • Edit connect.gcfg configuration file to set up server URL, authentication methods, email notifications, and storage options.
  • Set Up SSL certificates for secure HTTP connections.
  • Start Posit Connect service and ensure it runs on startup.
  • Publish content to Connect from RStudio (Posit Workbench) to confirm it is working as expected.
Ongoing Support:
  • Regularly apply updates and patches to products and their dependencies.
  • Monitor license usage and renew licenses as needed.
  • Establish support plan, either through internal teams or via external support.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
