Job Title: Executive Director of Learning and Development

About the Role:

We are seeking a seasoned leader to spearhead our training initiatives, focusing on high-performing teams and process excellence. As Executive Director of Learning and Development, you will drive strategic planning, mentoring, and quality management across various functions.

The ideal candidate has extensive expertise in HCC coding systems, advanced leadership skills, and exceptional problem-solving abilities. A proven track record in driving performance improvement, innovation, and adaptability is essential.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  1. Strategic Training Program Planning & Execution:
  • Develop comprehensive training programs that align with long-term business objectives.
  • Cultivate forward-thinking training initiatives, ensuring content remains updated with the latest industry standards.
  • Oversee and refine training methodologies to enhance learning efficiency and outcomes.
Leadership & Team Development:
  • Provide strong leadership by guiding Managers and trainers to drive performance excellence within their functions.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, empowering team members to meet organizational goals.
  • Create developmental roadmaps for team members, identifying leadership potential and promoting internal growth.
Quality Assurance & Process Improvement:
  • Implement and evolve quality management practices across training programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and quality standards.
  • Continuously improve training frameworks based on performance analytics, audits, and feedback.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs for training effectiveness, leveraging data to drive improvements.
Cross-functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:
  • Collaborate with senior management and cross-functional teams to align training strategies with broader business objectives.
  • Act as a key liaison between the training department and leadership, ensuring seamless communication of goals, outcomes, and challenges.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting:
  • Develop robust performance tracking mechanisms to monitor training program effectiveness.
  • Track key performance metrics, providing actionable insights to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Identify performance gaps at the organizational level and devise strategic plans to address them.
Innovation in Training Methods:
  • Drive the adoption of new training technologies and methodologies, enhancing learning outcomes and reducing training time.
  • Stay ahead of trends in learning and development, introducing innovative approaches to improve engagement, retention, and skills application.

Requirements:

  1. Experience: 15+ years of experience in training operations, process coaching, or quality management, with at least 5 years in a managerial or leadership role, preferably in the HCC industry.
  2. HCC Knowledge: Extensive expertise in HCC coding systems.
  3. Leadership & Training Expertise: Advanced experience in leading, mentoring, and managing a team of trainers, process coaches, and managers, driving high performance and achieving training objectives.
  4. Advanced Problem-Solving: Exceptional ability to identify, analyze, and resolve complex training, operational, and process-related challenges at an organizational level.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Coding Certification – AAPC/AHIMA
  2. Proven experience in a senior management role overseeing a team of managers, trainers, or quality leaders in a high-volume, dynamic environment.
