A Day in the Life of a Manager

  • Operations and Performance Management Quality: Ensure that all services meet set standards.
  • Servicing monthly, quarterly, and annual performance management governance forums to maintain consistent communication and reporting.
  • Review and validate calculations for quality and customer satisfaction, ensuring accuracy and consistency in monthly service level reporting.
  • Oversee corrective actions and service improvement plans with the service provider.
  • Participate and/or facilitate Medtronic team meetings related to corrective action planning and resolution.

Governance and Continuous Improvement: Facilitate operations meetings with workstream leaders and service providers to ensure delivery expectations are met or exceeded.

  • Negotiate program calendars, meetings, and content with critical stakeholders to ensure alignment and participation.
  • Facilitate quarterly executive governance materials and dashboards delivery and management reviews.
  • Support quality initiatives and continuous improvement activities as required.
  • Ensure regular operations meetings are conducted, and service provider documents meeting minutes and follows up on previous meeting action items.
  • Take ownership of day-to-day quality and customer satisfaction issues and escalate when necessary.
  • Support facilitation of governance meeting plan development and execution.

Technology, Tools, and Project Administration: Utilize tools and software to manage contracts, pricing schedules, and service level data from vendor information systems.

  • Manage day-to-day tool requirements and administrative support for dashboards and RAID.
  • Create standard operating procedures for tool usage and conduct trainings as needed.

Qualifications:

Must Have (Minimum Requirements):

Bachelor's degree and 16+ years of experience, or an advanced degree and 14+ years of experience.

Managerial experience, including goal settings and performance management. Excellent communication skills and ability to lead a team.

Nice to Have:

  • Strongly preferred: Previous experience working with third-party service providers and expertise in Microsoft Office tools.
  • Demonstrated capability in project administration and change management. Strong communication and change management skills.
