We're seeking a seasoned synthetic monitoring expert to join our team as a Senior Observability Engineer. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in building scalable observability platforms, driving adoption of APM tooling, and embedding synthetic monitoring into modern service architectures.

The successful candidate will be responsible for architecting scalable, secure, and resilient synthetic monitoring platforms across hybrid/multi-cloud environments. They will lead Dynatrace APM adoption with standardized instrumentation and deployment models, define onboarding strategies for cloud, hybrid, and edge telemetry sources with a focus on synthetic monitoring, and integrate observability tooling to deliver unified insights.

Key responsibilities include evaluating emerging technologies and developing custom synthetic monitoring solutions where needed, contributing to open-source or internal observability tooling/standards for synthetic monitoring, and driving documentation, training, and cross-team knowledge sharing to strengthen monitoring practices.

The role requires collaboration with application teams to embed synthetic monitoring into new service architectures and partnering with security teams on compliance, threat detection, and governance related to monitoring.

In addition, the ideal candidate should have strong expertise in AWS (EC2, EKS, Lambda) and proven experience in designing and implementing observability solutions across cloud and hybrid environments.

Familiarity with other monitoring/observability tools (Catchpoint, Prometheus, Grafana) is a plus, along with excellent problem-solving, cross-functional collaboration, and communication skills.
