Academic Dean for Industrial Design

We are seeking an accomplished Academic Dean to spearhead our Industrial Design department. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background in Industrial Design and possess exceptional leadership skills to oversee the academic team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement academic programs for Industrial Design that align with our institution's mission and vision.
  • Supervise and support faculty members in their teaching practices, research projects, and professional development.
  • Conduct regular evaluations of program curriculum to ensure it meets industry standards and stays relevant.
  • Collaborate with other departments to enhance interdisciplinary learning opportunities for students.
  • Oversee student recruitment efforts and plan departmental resources effectively.
  • Broaden industry connections through expert guest lectures and workshops.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of UGC, NAAC, and other relevant processes.

Requirements:

  • Master's or Ph.D. degree in Industrial Design.
  • Total 15+ years of experience with minimum of 5 years experience in an academic leadership role within a design school setting.
  • Strong understanding of current trends and developments in the field of Industrial Design.
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to engage with faculty, staff, students, and industry professionals.
