About the Role:

As a Senior Director of Product Design, you will lead a team of talented product designers to shape the future of our company by designing and releasing intuitive and powerful solutions that empower both internal teams and external users.

You will build and lead a team, setting a vision for user experience across products. Reporting directly into the Chief Product and Design Officer, you'll be a key voice in the product leadership team, translating complex capabilities and solutions into clear, compelling, and valuable experiences.

Responsibilities include design strategy, team leadership, customer-facing influence, design ops, cross-functional collaboration, user advocacy, design systems, and evangelism.

  • Design Strategy - Define and drive the holistic design vision for products, ensuring a consistent, high-quality user experience.
  • Team Leadership - Lead, mentor, and grow a team of product designers, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Customer-Facing Influence - Engage in early client discussions to shape design strategy, translating needs into actionable insights.
  • Design Ops - Establish and streamline design operations to improve scale, consistency, collaboration, efficiency, and quality across teams.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration – Collaborate with leaders in product management, engineering, and data science to align on product strategy, goals, and roadmaps.
  • User Advocacy - Advocate for the user through research, testing, and feedback, ensuring design decisions are informed by a deep understanding of user needs and behaviors.
  • Design Systems – Maintain and establish a centralized design system with standards, patterns, and best practices for designing with AI.
  • Evangelism - Present design strategies and concepts to senior leadership and stakeholders, articulating the rationale behind design decisions.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, HCI, or a related field, or equivalent.

Required Skills include 12+ years of experience in product design within a technology or product-centric company, leading a team of designers who design and ship AI-powered products or features, and expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.

Preferred Skills include experience working in a fast-paced, agile environment and previous experience working on AI-powered products.
