The Role:

As a senior NoSQL database administrator, you will be responsible for the design, installation, and management of our NoSQL databases.

You will ensure optimal database performance by analyzing database issues and monitoring database performance.

  • Collaborate with other team members to manage production SQL-based and NoSQL databases.
  • Manage high-transaction-rate databases, including configuration, administration, security, performance optimization, replication, troubleshooting, and backup.
  • Install, configure, and upgrade nodes in customer production clusters.
  • Manage international 24x7 multi-site production infrastructure powering services.
  • Ensure proper monitoring, alerting, capacity planning, and reporting in the production environment.
Key Responsibilities

Design, install, and manage NoSQL databases to ensure optimal performance.

Collaborate with other teams to achieve operational excellence.

  • Provision, maintain, and scale critical data storage and intelligence platforms.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot database performance and issues.
  • Implement automation to improve efficiency and reduce manual errors.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of relevant experience in designing, maintaining, and administering NoSQL databases (Cassandra, MongoDB).
  • 6+ years of relevant experience in designing, maintaining, and administering traditional SQL-based databases (MySQL, MariaDB, Percona).
  • Experience managing Kafka message bus infrastructures is highly desirable.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline is required.
