Financial Accounting Expert Sought

The Role:

We are seeking a seasoned Financial Accounting professional to join our team. As a key member of our financial operations, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day fund accounting activities, ensuring compliance with US taxation and accounting standards.

Fund Accounting Responsibilities:

  • Maintain general ledgers, journals, and financial statements for the fund.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for stakeholders.
  • Oversee fund performance tracking, including cash flow management, capital calls, distributions, and investor reporting.

US Taxation Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with US taxation laws for venture capital funds.
  • Monitor and stay updated on changes in US tax regulations affecting the fund's operations and investor relations.
  • Work closely with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure accurate tax filings and tax planning.

Payroll Management:

  • Oversee payroll processing for Indian employees, ensuring compliance with local tax laws and regulations.
  • Manage salary calculations, bonuses, and deductions (e.g., Provident Fund, ESI, TDS), ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Ensure timely disbursement of salaries and handle related administrative tasks.

Financial Reporting & Analysis:

  • Assist in preparing financial reports and audits, providing insights into the firm's financial health.
  • Prepare budgets, financial forecasts, and variance analysis to support decision-making at the leadership level.

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in financial accounting or a related role, with strong knowledge of US taxation for venture capital firms.
  • Experience in payroll management for Indian employees, with in-depth knowledge of Indian tax laws.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
  • Experience with accounting software and tools, preferably QuickBooks or Xero.
