Senior Financial Director

This senior role leads and oversees the entire accounts and finance function of the organization, ensuring accurate financial reporting, statutory compliance, effective cash flow management, and strategic financial planning.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Financial Strategy & Planning
    • Develop and implement comprehensive financial plans to optimize cost, improve margins, and enhance profitability.
    • Analyze financial performance against business goals and provide insights for decision-making.
  • Accounts & Reporting
    • Prepare timely and accurate financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
    • Manage day-to-day accounting operations and oversee accounting team performance.
    • Evaluate compliance with applicable financial reporting standards.
  • Treasury & Working Capital Management
    • Carefully manage cash flows, banking operations, and fund utilization efficiently.
    • Monitor working capital management, credit control, and debtor management.
    • Built strong relationships with banks, financial institutions, and investors for fund raising and project financing.
  • Cost Control & MIS
    • Implement effective cost accounting systems and track production-related costs.
    • Present periodic MIS reports to management for financial performance tracking.
    • Support business units with financial analysis to aid in pricing, costing, and investment decisions.
  • Team Leadership & Development
    • Lead and mentor the accounts & finance team, ensuring skill development and high performance.
    • Establish robust internal controls and processes across the department.
    • Foster a culture of integrity, compliance, and continuous improvement.
    Necessary Qualifications:
    • Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification required.
    • 8-15 years post-CA qualification experience in Accounts & Finance, with at least 5 years in a leadership position in manufacturing (preferably metals/steel sector).
    • Strong expertise in financial reporting, statutory compliance, cost control, and treasury management.
    • A proven track record in handling audits, liaising with banks, and managing working capital.
    • Excellent leadership, analytical, and decision-making skills.
    • Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
