Job Overview:

We are seeking an accomplished Hardware Design Engineer to spearhead the development of complex electronic systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in hardware design, with expertise in digital and mixed-signal circuit design, as well as power electronics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop detailed design specifications, schematics, and BOMs for projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design requirements are met and participate in design reviews.
  • Develop schematics for digital, mixed-signal, and power electronics circuits that meet design specifications.
  • Work with PCB layout teams to finalize component placement, considering mechanical and SI/PI constraints.
  • Select components and work with vendors to ensure components meet design requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Expertise in the complete HW development life cycle from design conception to fabrication and assembly.
  • Strong board design fundamentals, including mixed-signal design, high-speed board design, and power design.
  • Experience working with different embedded microprocessor-based systems, including Qualcomm, TI, NXP, NVIDIA, Intel, and AMD.
  • Adept in designing interfaces with bus communication protocols like I2C, SPI, UART, RS232.
  • Experience working with high-speed I/Os like PCIe, Memory (DDRx, LPDDRx), MIPI C PHY/D-PHY, USB3.0/USB4.0, and Ethernet interfaces.
  • Expertise in using EDA tools for schematics and layout tools, mainly Cadence PCB tools.
  • Experience with simulation tools like PSPICE/LTSPICE.
  • Familiarity with lab equipment, including oscilloscopes, DMMs, spectrum analyzers, and debugger tools.
  • Fundamental knowledge of signal integrity and power integrity.
  • Experience with SI/PI simulation tools like Hyperlynx, Sigrity, Ansys, and ADS is an advantage.
  • Good knowledge of EMI/EMC standards for industrial Class A products.

Education:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Electronics.
