Senior Legal Professional

We are seeking a seasoned legal professional to join our team as we build the identity infrastructure for the internet. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of high-impact legal work across various areas, including client negotiations, intellectual property protection, risk management, and data privacy compliance.

You will be working closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies that drive business growth while ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

This role requires a unique blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and exceptional communication skills. You will be responsible for reviewing, drafting, negotiating, and vetting commercial agreements, as well as supporting compliance with data protection laws and contributing to internal compliance frameworks.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Drafting and negotiating commercial agreements, including SaaS, licensing, data sharing, MSAs, NDAs, etc.
  • Ensuring compliance with data protection laws, such as DPDP, GDPR, CCPA, etc.
  • Contributing to internal compliance, IP protection, and risk management frameworks.
  • Liaising with external counsels, partners, and regulators as needed.
  • Staying updated on evolving legal and regulatory landscapes and providing strategic inputs to stakeholders.
  • Developing and maintaining internal legal processes and templates.
  • Providing strategic legal inputs during product development and client onboarding.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 2–4 years of experience in a law firm or as in-house counsel (TMT, Fintech, or General Corporate).
  • LL.B. required (LL.M. or certifications in data privacy/fintech are a plus).
  • Strong skills in legal drafting and negotiation.
  • Understanding of software licensing, technology transfers, and data privacy.
  • Clear, confident communication – able to simplify complex legal concepts for non-legal teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple legal matters autonomously.
