Business Operations Director Opportunity

Job Description:

We are seeking an accomplished Business Operations Director to spearhead the development, launch, and continuous improvement of our e-commerce platform. The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between business vision and technical execution, ensuring seamless alignment of features, design, and performance with strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end development, launch, and ongoing optimization of the platform.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, workflows, and priorities.
  • Translate business needs into actionable tasks for the development team.
  • Provide expertise on marketplace structure, features, and best practices to enhance performance, usability, and monetization.
  • Stay informed on e-commerce trends, technologies, and applications, applying them to strengthen platform strategy.
  • Manage production schedules and KPIs to ensure successful delivery.
  • Anticipate risks, troubleshoot issues, and keep leadership informed of progress.
  • Drive post-launch optimization to ensure scalability and long-term success.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of proven experience in e-commerce, marketplace, or related industries.
  • Strong knowledge of e-shop business trends, applications, and industry best practices.
  • Solid understanding of online marketplace business models (vendor onboarding, payments, logistics, user acquisition).
  • Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Hands-on experience with agile/scrum methodologies and project management tools.
