Accounting Manager Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee the daily operations of our accounting department. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise the accounting team, ensuring efficient and accurate processing of financial transactions.

  • Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements and reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

  • Ensure compliance with applicable tax laws, international trade finance regulations, and accounting standards.

  • Coordinate audits and ensure proper documentation and records.

  • Monitor and analyze accounting data, producing budget forecasts and cash flow statements.

  • Handle freight costing, billing, and invoicing as per shipping documentation.

  • Reconcile shipping, customs, and freight vendor charges with operational departments.

  • Develop internal controls and process improvements within the finance function.

  • Support management with insights on profitability, margin analysis, and expense control.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

  • Minimum 5-12 years of accounting experience.

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, GST, and TDS.

  • Experience with ERP accounting software.

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
