Job Title: Merchandiser - Custom Manager">

Overview:

The ideal candidate for this role is a detail-driven and passionate individual who can manage the entire custom order lifecycle from client brief to delivery. The selected person will be responsible for managing end-to-end execution of custom rug orders, including design interpretation, costing, production timelines, and final delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage custom rug orders, including coordinating with clients and internal teams to understand specifications, material preferences, color palettes, and technical requirements.
  • Translate client briefs into actionable production plans by working with weaving clusters and artisans.
  • Develop custom order trackers, T&A calendars, and coordination sheets for timely delivery.
  • Conduct feasibility analysis for custom requirements, such as technique, size, and material selection.
  • Ensure strict quality and compliance standards for all custom products.
  • Support pricing strategies balancing product value with profitability.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor of Textile Technology (BFTech) degree from NIFT (mandatory).
  • 4–5 years of merchandising experience in textiles or luxury design.
  • Knowledge of textile techniques, materials, dyeing processes, and hand-crafted production methods.
  • Excellent understanding of custom order workflows – from client brief to production to delivery.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills in English and Hindi.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop, and PLM or order management systems.
  • Eye for detail, problem-solving skills, and customer-first mindset.

Preferred Attributes:

  • Experience working with artisan-based production or luxury environments.
  • Interest in sustainable and ethical production processes.
