Business Development Manager for E-commerce Expansion

This role offers the opportunity to shape and deliver on a strategy to enable broad use of Amazon Services by small/medium sellers and large enterprises in India wishing to sell globally.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prospecting, Qualifying, Negotiating, and Closing Agreements: Work in a dynamic sales environment to recruit third-party sellers that deliver competitive pricing and broad product selection.
  • Defining Key Retailer Segments: Help define key retailer segments to target and establish seller relationships.
  • Driving Day-to-Day Interactions: Drive the day-to-day interactions with these companies in order to build long-term business opportunities.
  • Developing Original Ideas: Develop original ideas, approaches, and solutions in a competitive and ever-changing business climate.

Specific Responsibilities Include:

  • Understanding Amazon Services Products and Services: Understand Amazon Services products and services and be able to articulate its functions and benefits to external audiences.
  • Helping Define Seller Base and Industry Verticals: Help define the seller base and industry verticals we target for various Amazon services using local knowledge.
  • Identifying Valuable Sellers and Selection for Amazon Services: Identify valuable sellers and selection for Amazon services.
  • Acquiring Retailers with Valuable Selection: Acquire retailers with valuable selection and establish long-term partnerships.
  • Owning and Managing Integration of Portfolio of Sellers: Own and manage integration of portfolio of sellers and help them become self-reliant through basic training.
  • Tracking and Monitoring Performance and Sales: Track and monitor performance and sales of key partners to manage their performance.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree: A bachelor's degree is required.
  • 2+ Years of Sales Experience: 2+ years of sales experience is required.
  • E-commerce Acquisition Background Preferred: Candidates with e-commerce acquisition background are preferred.

Estimated Salary: ₹30,00,000 - ₹60,00,000 per annum, depending on location and experience. This role provides opportunities to develop original ideas, approaches, and solutions in a competitive and ever-changing business climate.
