About the Role

As a Business Development Specialist at IDFC FIRST Bank, you will play a vital role in managing assigned client portfolios to deliver exceptional service and drive cross-selling. Your primary objective will be to build strong relationships with clients, identify their needs, and present suitable banking products, ultimately leading to increased customer satisfaction and loyalty.

The role requires strategic thinking, effective communication skills, and a customer-centric approach to achieve business objectives. You will work closely with colleagues to ensure seamless execution of transactions, manage cash flows, and maintain accurate records.

Key Responsibilities
  • CASA value build up and new client acquisition through targeted marketing initiatives and personalized engagement.
  • Ensure effective client engagement leading to cross-sell opportunities by profiling clients and presenting suitable banking products.
  • Increase 'Product holding per customer' within mapped portfolio through proactive sales efforts and excellent customer service.
  • Coordinate with Relationship Managers to close business loans, working capital, POS, CMS, trade transactions generated through client engagement.
  • Responsible for creating a customer-focused approach to resolve queries and complaints efficiently, achieving NPS benchmarks.
  • Custodian of the branch vault, manage vault limits, cash, and non-cash transactions.
  • Monitor dummy accounts, suspense accounts, deferred accounts, accounts payable/receivable, reconciliation, and maintenance of suspense accounts register.
Secondary Responsibilities
  • List secondary deliverables essential for the role, including performing audits to ensure compliance with internal and external regulations and guidelines.
  • Provide best-in-class customer service to all clients, positioning them as their primary banker.
