Infrastructure Support Specialist

This role involves working on the operations side of software applications, ensuring their availability and performance. We are looking for a professional with expertise in monitoring and troubleshooting to fill this position.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with cloud platforms, containerization, and DevOps tools. Strong problem-solving skills, along with excellent communication abilities, are also essential.

The job requires collaboration with various teams to identify and resolve issues efficiently. A strong understanding of networking fundamentals, security protocols, and IT infrastructure is necessary for success in this role.

Additionally, proficiency in scripting languages and familiarity with automation tools would be beneficial. The selected candidate will participate in the 24/7 on-call rotation and contribute to improving our incident response processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement efficient monitoring solutions to detect potential issues before they impact services.
  • Provide primary operational support for distributed software applications, focusing on availability, performance, and security.
  • Employ deep troubleshooting skills to resolve complex problems related to application, infrastructure, and security incidents.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze and address major incidents, implementing permanent fixes where possible.
  • Establish and publish regular key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure team performance, service level agreements, stability, and customer satisfaction.
  • Lead hypercare events from the NOC Team, coordinating efforts to ensure smooth transitions and knowledge sharing.
  • Responsible for accurate incident logging, tracking, and documentation.
  • Contribute to process reviews, providing recommendations and feedback to improve operational efficiency.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in production support roles supporting large-scale SaaS platforms.
  • Hands-on problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficiency in Azure Cloud, particularly with AKS, API management, Service Bus, and Azure Functions.
  • Working experience with Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, and other monitoring tools.
  • Familiarity with containers, Kubernetes, and Helm.
  • Functional knowledge of cloud network, firewalls, ingress, egress controllers, and service mesh.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
  • A willingness to dive into understanding, debugging, and improving any layer of the stack.
