Design Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Design Engineer to assume a pivotal role in our HVAC systems design team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating high-quality working drawings for commercial and light industrial buildings.

Mission Objectives:

  • To deliver designs that meet productivity norms and standards.
  • To ensure compliance with relevant contract documents and effective coordination with other services.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop accurate HVAC working drawings according to project specifications.
  • Collaborate closely with civil, architectural, electrical, plumbing, and fire-fighting teams.
  • Resolve technical issues with site teams through effective communication and problem-solving.
  • Maintain up-to-date ISO documentation and drawing logs.
  • Support quantity take-offs and drawing approvals efficiently.
  • Monitor productivity and contribute to QA/QC processes.
  • Identify additional work and notify the Project Manager accordingly.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of HVAC design principles (chillers, AHUs, VAVs, FCUs, ventilation, smoke control).
  • Familiarity with GCC codes and Civil Defence requirements.
  • Proficiency in HVAC calculations and software (e.g., HAP).
  • Knowledge of Revit, Navisworks is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and documentation skills.
  • Understanding of related MEP systems.

Education and Certification:

  • B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
  • HVAC training certification preferred.
