Theory of Knowledge Faculty

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced educator to join our team as a Theory of Knowledge faculty member.

This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the educational journey of our students. As a TOK faculty member, you will be responsible for teaching the Theory of Knowledge course to students in the Diploma Programme.

  • Instruction and Curriculum Delivery: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging TOK lessons in accordance with the IB curriculum, incorporating real-life examples and case studies to illustrate theoretical concepts.
  • Critical Thinking and Inquiry: Guide students in developing critical thinking skills, evaluating knowledge claims, and formulating reasoned arguments based on evidence and analysis.
  • Assessment and Feedback: Assess student progress through various formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback and maintaining accurate records of student grades.
  • Collaboration and Professional Development: Collaborate with other TOK faculty members and subject teachers to enhance interdisciplinary connections within the DP curriculum, participating in departmental meetings, curriculum planning, and professional development activities.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Masters degree or higher in Philosophy, Epistemology, Education, or a related field.
  • Teaching certification or qualification, preferably with experience teaching TOK or related subjects at the secondary or post-secondary level.
  • Strong understanding of TOK principles, IB Diploma Programme requirements, and assessment criteria.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to facilitate meaningful discussions and encourage critical inquiry among students.
