Director of Engineering Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned technology leader to join our India-based Engineering organization.

As a key member of our team, you'll play a crucial role in scaling and building the next generation of platform and services/products.

You'll be responsible for establishing a top-tier software organization that develops and maintains highly scalable, reliable, and available systems.

This is a people manager role, reporting directly to the VP, Product & Technology. You'll oversee a team of talented engineers and focus on:

  • Building a robust engineering organization that thrives on execution, innovation, and learning.
  • Delivering customer-centric products while maintaining a healthy codebase through continuous refactoring and debt management.
  • Championing our culture, processes, and tools to ensure a seamless development environment, leveraging agile continuous delivery, DevOps, and TDD/BDD expertise.
  • Providing coaching and leadership in software best practices, automated test strategies, and reducing the cost of change curve for our software products and services.
  • Prioritizing user experiences and collaborating with product management, engineering, sales, operations, and other teams.

Key qualifications include 12+ years of combined software development and management experience across multiple languages and frameworks or equivalent experience.

Requirements

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • 8+ years of hands-on software development or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of managing software organizations with 25+ people or equivalent experience.
  • A proven track record of building and leading global engineering teams in India, collaborating with teams based in the US and other locations.
  • A demonstrated ability to innovate on v1 products, driving them from ideation to widespread usage in a startup-like environment.
  • A passion for customer experiences and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • An ability to thrive in a fast-paced, execution-driven environment.
Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with experience in full-stack SaaS development, building integration platforms, distributed backend systems, and high-scale system knowledge are encouraged to apply.
