Senior Service Technician

The role of Senior Service Technician is a high-level position within an IT department. The incumbent will oversee service staff activities and provide training to other technicians.

This role requires advanced knowledge and experience in solving firm-wide technology issues, hardware, software, networking, and support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in supervising service staff and providing training
  • Refer complex problems to more experienced staff or leadership
  • Analyze statistical information for report accuracy and data integrity
  • Maintain technical documentation of problems and resolutions
  • Act as subject matter expert on primary support product lines
  • Seek opportunities for growth through automation, innovation, and process improvement
  • Establish priorities on service tickets and create new accounts
  • Communicate with team members and resolve technical problems
  • Document problem tickets and assist other IT staff

Requirements:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in related support services
  • Strong knowledge of accounting applications, Microsoft products, and Windows operating systems
  • Associate degree in an IT-related field or equivalent education and training
  • Technical certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Network+
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
