Procurement Leader

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Procurement Leader to oversee the end-to-end procurement process, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading the entire procurement process, including vendor management, purchase order creation, expediting, e-sourcing, and service agreement negotiation.
  • Global sourcing from US-based suppliers.
  • Pricing analysis to ensure optimal supply costs.
  • Collaborating with sellers to ensure timely delivery of materials and advising internal teams about delivery delays as soon as identified.
  • Reviewing purchase requisitions and identifying appropriate sources for supply using e-sourcing tools to create service agreements and manage contract terms.
  • Negotiating with suppliers on pricing, payment terms, and conditions to achieve cost savings for the business.
  • Team leadership, providing guidance and support for efficient operations.
  • Reporting and analysis, publishing weekly and monthly reports and sending them to the supervisor, ensuring timely payment processing by collaborating with the finance department, resolving invoice discrepancies, and ensuring payments are in line with agreed terms.
  • Creating and managing purchase orders in SAP to ensure proper documentation and tracking.
  • Expediting orders as needed to ensure timely delivery of goods, services, and works.

Requirements:

  • Associate degree or higher (preferred).
  • Progressive experience in purchasing, exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
  • Experience with data analysis using an enterprise procurement system.
  • High-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel (ideal).
  • Demonstrated track record of motivation and success.
  • Experience in a laboratory setting or within the Bio/Life Sciences industry is preferred.
  • Background in Operations or Supply Chain Management is a plus.
