As a Senior Manager in our Global Business Tax Team, you'll be responsible for building and nurturing positive working relationships with teams and clients to exceed client expectations. You will supervise and manage all tax advisory engagements, deliver tax opinions, short notes, and email responses on day-to-day clients' tax matters, and handle tax compliances such as filing of tax returns, withholding tax statements, advance tax, provisioning for income tax, and other tax filings.

Responsibilities include supervising and managing tax assessment/litigation proceedings before the assessing officer, other income tax authorities, and higher appellate forums. This includes reviewing and drafting responses to audit notices and questionnaires, representation before the tax authorities for assessment, rectification, and other matters.

You will also train managers and other executives for their professional development and create a stronger bench. Delivering clients with tax technology assets through licensing and/or internal managed services is another key responsibility. Additionally, you will serve as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for end-to-end tax operate engagements and manage internal client codes from the standpoint of time logging, invoicing, and collections.

Business development, identifying new opportunities actively, and mining existing ones are critical components of this role. Contributing to firm eminence programs/events/written or speaking contributions at conferences, contributing to thought leadership and other tax technical papers for firm-wide go-to-market strategy, collaborating with other tax services lines/business functions for multi-disciplinary client requirements, focusing, and aligning to firm's core tax growth themes are also essential responsibilities.

Requirements:

  • 8-10 years of experience in Direct Taxation
