Job Opportunity:

Seeking a seasoned engineer to lead the upgrade of our service mesh, migration of kafka clusters, and deployment management on open shift environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Upgrade service mesh from version 2.0 to 3.0 on production clusters, ensuring seamless integration with microservices hosted on open shift.
  • Migrate kafka from mirror maker & zookeeper to kraft architecture, optimizing performance and security.
  • Deploy, configure, and manage kafka and service mesh on open shift (ocp) environments, collaborating with IT and development teams for production rollouts.
  • Perform troubleshooting, optimization, and security hardening within a highly restricted environment, leveraging expertise in kafka, service mesh, and microservices communication patterns.

Requirements:

  • 5-8 years of overall IT experience with proven expertise in kafka, service mesh, and open shift.
  • Hands-on experience with istio/red hat service mesh 3.0 is mandatory, along with strong understanding of microservices communication patterns and hybrid cloud/on-prem architectures.
  • Prior experience in banking or secure environment projects is preferred, as well as ability to work onsite with limited external internet access.
