Senior Leadership Role: Operations & Sustainability Specialist

The key objective of this position is to ensure the seamless execution of organizational operations.

This role plays a pivotal part in supporting the team by guaranteeing timely compliance with regulatory requirements on behalf of our brand partners, aimed at fulfilling their Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) targets for plastic and e-waste.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Ensure strict adherence to existing rules and regulations by brands
  • Develop standardized formats according to government, brand, or Recykal requirements
  • Document collections and verification as per commitment given to brands
  • Maintain proactive engagement with key brands and stakeholders associated with Recykal
  • Maintain meticulous attention to detail, especially in terms of compliance-related documentation
  • Manage multiple teams effectively on-field and off-field
  • Increase efficiency of team by building optimized processes for completions
  • Foster constant communication with management, staff, and vendors to ensure proper operations of the organization
  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols
  • Pursue strategic and operational objectives proactively
  • Ensure operational activities remain on time and within defined scope
  • Monitor staffing requirements, hiring new employees as needed
  • Lead, motivate, and support large team within time-sensitive and demanding environment, including setup and implementation of career development plans for direct reports and problem resolution
  • Collaborate with cross-functional support teams to improve implementation processes
  • Work closely with legal and safety departments to ensure activities remain compliant
Requirements:
  • At least 8 years of experience handling operations
  • Past experience in waste management field is advantageous
  • Able to work efficiently and on multiple projects at once
  • Strong interpersonal skills with solid ability to persuade others, build consensus, and work in team
