Job Title: Senior Cloud Systems Architect

Overview:
  • We are seeking a skilled Senior Cloud Systems Architect to join our team.

The successful candidate will have expertise in designing and building scalable and secure cloud infrastructure using AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, Redshift, ECS, Route 53, Load Balancers, Auto Scaling, Cost Explorer, and others.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure that meets business requirements.
  • Configure and manage various AWS services including security groups, VPCs, subnets, route tables, and network ACLs.
  • Set up ECS/EKS clusters, configure deployments, and implement performance-based scaling using Docker images and Docker Hub.
  • Automate infrastructure setup using Terraform and CloudFormation to increase efficiency and reduce errors.
  • Develop new environments based on specific requirements and industry best practices, ensuring timely and cost-effective solutions.
  • Configure and manage AWS IAM roles, policies, and user groups for secure access control.
  • Set up and manage RDS databases (MySQL, Redshift, PostgreSQL, MariaDB) and intranet user access, troubleshooting connectivity issues as needed.
  • Specialize in network configurations using VPC, Subnets, Security Groups, NAT Gateways, Internet Gateways, Route 53, WAF, and other services to ensure seamless communication.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement DevOps and CI/CD processes, leveraging Bitbucket/GitHub and ticketing systems like ServiceNow and Jira.
  • Conduct thorough cost analysis and resource optimization, utilizing Trusted Advisor, Cost Explorer, and tagging for granular insights.
  • Perform regular AMI upgrades, patch applications, and maintenance window management to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Monitor AWS environments using tools such as New Relic, Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, and others to identify areas for improvement.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of cloud architecture best practices and security guidelines, applying them to ensure the integrity and security of the cloud infrastructure.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and knowledge bases to facilitate clear communication and knowledge sharing within the team.
Requirements:
  • Strong background in ITIL service management principles and experience with Agile project methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proven track record of designing and implementing scalable and secure cloud infrastructure.
  • Experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, Redshift, ECS, Route 53, Load Balancers, Auto Scaling, Cost Explorer, and others.
  • Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and containerization concepts.
  • Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, and other infrastructure-as-code tools.
  • Understanding of cloud security best practices and compliance regulations.
