Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Exterior Trim Specialist Lead to join our team. This is a challenging and rewarding role that involves overseeing the design, development, and production of exterior trims for automotive OEMs.

About the Role:

  • The successful candidate will have at least 18 years of experience in the design and development of exterior trims, with a strong background in program management and excellent communication skills.
  • They will be responsible for managing teams of designers and engineers to deliver high-quality exterior trim designs on time and within budget.
  • The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with CATIA application and good knowledge of Teamcenter/PLM.
  • They will also be responsible for conducting DMU checks for packaging feasibility and interacting with all concerned departments.
  • A minimum of one complete project execution as Team Lead of Design & Development of Exterior trims is required.
  • Additionally, the successful candidate will have experience in exterior body trims such as front bumpers, grills, side claddings, wheel arches, rear bumpers, and mudflaps.
  • Good knowledge of drawing, GD&T, BOM, and assembly process flow is essential.
  • The role also involves interaction with CFT including CAE, assembly line, production planning, and suppliers.
  • Experience in homologations for ECE & FMVSS, AIS standards is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of DFM, DFA, DFS, and DFMEA (4D) rules and product process flow chart system is also required.
  • The successful candidate will also be expected to suggest VAVE (Cost Reduction) for weight reduction ideas.

Requirements:

  • At least 18 years of experience in the design and development of exterior trims.
  • Strong program management skill with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Hands-on experience in CATIA application.
  • Good knowledge of Teamcenter/PLM.
  • Conducting DMU checks for packaging feasibility.
  • Interaction with all concerned departments.
  • Minimum of one complete project execution as Team Lead of Design & Development of Exterior trims.
  • Experience in exterior body trims.
