Sr / Lead SDET

Our organization is seeking a highly skilled professional to fill the role of Sr / Lead SDET. This individual will be responsible for designing and implementing test frameworks that simulate filesystem corruption, kernel panics, and recovery scenarios.

  • Design tests that expose weaknesses in storage tiering, kernel interactions, and edge cases.
  • Develop innovative testing strategies through fault injection, fuzzing, and adversarial approaches.
  • Build robust test frameworks to induce I/O storms, memory leaks, and resource starvation.
  • Identify and solve complex issues at the kernel, filesystem, and block device layers.
  • Mentor engineers in defensive thinking with a focus on NFRs and establish CI/CD pipelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement testing strategies.
  • Design and implement test automation frameworks using scripting languages (Java, Python, Bash, Go).
  • Utilize kernel debugging tools (strace, eBPF, WinDbg) to identify and resolve complex issues.
  • Work with cloud storage platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) to design and implement testing solutions.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in testing storage systems, filesystems, or cloud infrastructure.
  • Hands-on experience with Linux/Windows storage stacks and benchmarking tools (fio, vdbench).
  • Strong understanding of scripting languages (Java, Python, Bash, Go) and test automation.
  • Proficiency in kernel debugging (strace, eBPF, WinDbg).
  • Experience working with cloud storage platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
