We are seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of Business Risk Specialist. This position is responsible for developing, implementing and reviewing credit risk models and associated frameworks in an unsecured rural/semi-urban lending context.

This individual will be tasked with creating and executing credit risk strategies across the lending life cycle, including acquisition, underwriting, cross-sell and collections. Key responsibilities include:

  • Credit Risk Modeling: Develop and implement credit risk models and associated frameworks to evaluate the creditworthiness of potential borrowers.
  • Risk Strategy Implementation: Implement and monitor credit risk strategies to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Portfolio Review: Regularly review the portfolio on various risk metrics to identify early warning signals and analyze portfolio trends to track portfolio quality against accepted risk parameters.
  • Risk Policy Review: Ensure that risk policies are reviewed and updated in a timely manner to reflect changes in the external environment and internal risk appetite.
  • Industry Analysis: Analyze industry data and prepare MIS/Dashboards to apprise senior management on changing market conditions.
  • Process Review: Regularly review processes to ensure adherence to risk policies and check if controls are effectively in place and functioning.

Requirements:

  • Qualification: BTech or MTech from a Tier 1 college.
  • Experience: 3-6 years of experience in managing risk in a NBFC/Fintech/Lending organization.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python and SQL is mandatory. Excellent understanding of data and ability to bring insights.
  • Knowledge: Sound knowledge of statistical models and experience in Microfinance/MSME Lending is an added advantage.
