Middle School Academic Director

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Middle School Academic Director to join our team.

Job Description

The Middle School Academic Director plays a critical role in driving academic excellence by overseeing curriculum implementation, instructional practices, and teacher development. This position requires a strategic thinker who can analyze data, develop actionable plans, and collaborate with teachers to enhance student learning outcomes.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Lesson Plan Oversight:
    • Review and monitor lesson plans to ensure alignment with modern pedagogical strategies and curriculum standards.
    • Provide constructive feedback and recommendations for improvement.
  • Teacher Support & Training:
    • Offer coaching and mentoring to enhance lesson planning and instructional delivery.
    • Conduct workshops and training sessions to reinforce modern teaching methods.
  • Classroom Observations:
    • Conduct regular classroom observations to evaluate teaching effectiveness.
    • Share targeted, actionable feedback with teachers.
  • Reporting & Communication:
    • Prepare academic performance reports for school leadership.
    • Maintain open communication with school leaders to track progress and address challenges.
  • Academic Quality Assurance:
    • Ensure consistent implementation of school-approved teaching and learning strategies.
    • Collaborate with school leaders to make data-driven decisions that improve instructional quality.

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of modern pedagogical practices and curriculum design, excellent observation, feedback, and coaching skills, as well as the ability to motivate teachers and manage multiple priorities.

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Education or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 7–10 years of teaching experience, with at least 3 years in an instructional leadership role.
