Job Title:

Director of Technical Operations

As the Director of Technical Operations, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth functioning of our hospitality assets. Your expertise will be instrumental in maintaining technical systems, adhering to regulatory requirements, and driving team performance.

The key responsibilities of this position include:

  • Leading day-to-day engineering operations, guaranteeing systems functionality and guest comfort.
  • Implementing preventive and routine maintenance schedules for electro-mechanical and civil infrastructure.
  • Monitoring utility consumption, ensuring energy efficiency, and maintaining cost discipline.

Applied Learning:

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to conduct department-level technical and safety training, coordinate documentation and retention of records as per audit and operational standards, and investigate incidents to implement preventive measures.

People Management:

You will supervise technical teams, assign responsibilities, and track daily performance, as well as support HR in hiring, onboarding, and skill-building initiatives for engineering roles.

Business & Financial Acumen:

The ideal candidate will be able to track engineering expenses, highlight deviations, and ensure budget adherence, recommend cost-effective procurement of services, parts, and technical equipment.

Leadership & Executive Presence:

As a representative of the Engineering department, you will participate in management meetings and collaborate with other departments, handle guest/resident technical complaints with professionalism and promptness.

Occupational Health & Safety Responsibilities:

The Director of Technical Operations will implement HSSE practices, ensure systematic risk assessment and mitigation, train staff in fire safety, first aid, hazard awareness, and emergency procedures.

Requirements:

A Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, along with 8-10 years of relevant experience in hospitality or real estate engineering operations, is essential for success in this role.
