Senior Data Center Operations Manager

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Technical Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our data center and facilities. This role will be responsible for ensuring the highest levels of uptime, efficiency, and safety in our operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and manage a team of Data Center Technicians and Facilities Technicians to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
- Operate and maintain our data center to meet or exceed industry standards for electrical, cooling, and other critical systems.
- Develop and implement processes and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Provide tasking and direction for daily operations, maintenance scheduling, and non-critical and critical maintenance activities.
- Analyze data center equipment to optimize performance, efficiency, safety, cost, equipment longevity, and reliability.
- Conduct training sessions with the Data Centre Technicians on equipment, PMs, QA, and CFOps procedures, and maintain training documentation.
- Ensure maximum efficiency in data center operations, including analyzing existing conditions, recommending new technologies, maintaining customer SLA requirements, and improving overall efficiency within budget constraints.
- Collaborate with customers to deliver successful installations that exceed expectations and provide excellent customer service.
- Supervise the safety and well-being of all CFOps team members.
- Responsible for shift assignments, timekeeping review and approval, and PTO approval for all assigned Data Centre Technicians and Facilities Technicians.
- Develop and review non-critical and critical Method of Procedures (MOPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Standard Method of Procedure (SMPs), and provide input.
- Supervise the execution of non-critical and critical Method of Procedures and ensure thorough completion.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Solid background in electrical and mechanical systems design review, layout, installation, commissioning, and operations.
- Solid knowledge of low voltage systems, including fire, security, and PLCs.
- Solid knowledge of NFPA Electrical, Fire, and Life Safety, and building codes.
- Solid knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E, NFPA 72, NFPA 25, and compliance issues.
- Solid experience with industrial safety best practices, such as lockout/tag out, arc flash protection, OSHA, and state regulations.
- Solid hands-on experience installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting large commercial and industrial mechanical & electrical systems.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering or similar field required.
- Solid experience in data center and/or critical facilities.
- Moderate level experience managing and motivating critical facilities operations and maintenance teams.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering or similar field required.
This is a full-time position. The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership skills, strong technical knowledge, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
