Transform the search experience by designing and implementing scalable APIs, data flows, and integrations on AWS.

Role Overview

You'll help develop the backend services that power our platform. You'll work closely with architects, frontend developers, and AI/ML engineers to deliver a secure system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain cloud-based services using AWS for search, feedback, tasks, and analytics.
  • Implement features in OpenSearch (keyword + vector search, ranking) for efficient data retrieval.
  • Create pipelines to enrich content with metadata, tags, and related information.
  • Capture user interaction signals (clicks, ratings, dwell time) and process them for re-ranking and analytics.
  • Develop and document RESTful APIs for use by web clients.
  • Ensure performance targets (e.g., < 2.5s retrieval time) are met.
Requirements
  • Solid experience building cloud services with AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, Kinesis).
  • Hands-on knowledge of OpenSearch/Elasticsearch (indexing, search queries).
  • Experience designing and scaling APIs (OpenAPI).
  • Familiarity with event-driven architectures and basic data pipelines.
  • Proficiency in at least one backend language (Python or Node.js).
  • Understanding of secure coding practices.
