Deputy Manager-Engineering Job Overview

As a key member of our instrumentation team, the Deputy Manager-Engineering plays a pivotal role in ensuring seamless system operation.

The position involves preparing and reviewing quality systems related documents, such as standard operating procedures (SOPs) and formats, to guarantee compliance with industry standards.

You will also be responsible for developing and updating calibration schedules for instruments, conducting preliminary cost estimates, and tracking budgets. Additionally, you will prepare process and instrument diagrams (P&IDs), instrument indexes, bills of materials (BOMs), and data sheets, as well as cable schedules and logic write-ups.

Furthermore, you will handle vendor inquiries, evaluate vendors, conduct material inspections, and obtain quality approvals. You will execute instrumentation work, commission instrumentation systems, and prepare and review project documentation.

One of your key objectives will be to plan and implement effective preventive maintenance plans for instruments, support and attend major breakdowns, and provide technical assistance for routine maintenance.

You will also identify alternatives and utilize available instruments and systems, manage spares, maintain statutory requirements, and ensure effective performance of testing and measuring instruments.

Lastly, you will actively participate in management initiatives, encourage team participation, and effectively utilize each team member to their fullest potential.

Additionally, you will conduct job safety analyses (JSA) and technical training for technicians to upgrade their technical grades and monitor the performance of engineers.

In the absence of your supervisor, you will take charge of all activities mentioned above.
