**Job Title:** Category Manager IT Procurement

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Category Manager to lead the procurement of IT hardware, software, and services for our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for negotiating contracts, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Procure all types of IT hardware, software, and related services, including annual spend of over Rs. 100 crores
  • Negotiate and manage supplier relationships to achieve cost savings and improve quality
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, including internal and external audits
  • Participate in annual budgeting and track due dates and renewals
  • Mitigate risk and develop alternatives to optimize spend and achieve speed and cost excellence
  • Take ownership of the spend category and manage it consistently to deliver results

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have a graduate degree in engineering (Computer Engg/IT/Electronics) and a postgraduate diploma in materials management or MBA in IT systems. A minimum of 6-10 years of experience in a similar role in a large complex organization is required.

  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Excel
  • Reporting directly to the Head of Procurement
