Test Automation Specialist

Our organization seeks a highly skilled Test Automation Specialist to contribute to the development of efficient test automation frameworks and strategies. This role will focus on designing, developing, and maintaining automated testing solutions for native mobile applications (Android and iOS), web platforms, and Progressive Web Applications (PWAs).

A key aspect of this position is leveraging expertise in Artificial Intelligence (AI) powered tools and techniques to enhance testing processes, improve test coverage, and boost overall team productivity.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and execution of comprehensive automated test suites, ensuring maximum test coverage and efficiency. They will also collaborate closely with development and deployment teams to deliver high-quality software.

  • Design and develop scalable and robust automation testing frameworks using Java for native mobile apps (Android and iOS), web applications, and PWAs.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive automated test suites, ensuring maximum test coverage and efficiency.
  • Evaluate and integrate AI-powered tools and techniques into our testing workflows to improve test case generation, defect prediction, visual regression testing, and overall automation efficiency.
  • Maintain existing test automation frameworks, tools, and documentation to ensure they are efficient, reliable, and easy to use.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to test engineering teams in their automation efforts and help troubleshoot complex automation issues.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 4-6 years of proven practical experience in Software Testing or a related role, with a strong focus on test automation.
  • Deep understanding of Automation testing methodologies, principles, and best practices.
  • Extensive experience in setting up and maintaining automation testing frameworks for Native Apps (Android and iOS), Web applications, PWAs, and API Testing.
  • Strong proficiency in using testing tools and technologies such as Jira, Git, Appium, Selenium, RestAssured, TestNG, Cucumber, and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.).
  • Demonstrable familiarity and practical experience with AI-powered tools and techniques relevant to software testing (e.g., AI-driven test generation, visual AI testing, defect prediction tools).
  • Solid experience as a Java Developer, SDET, or Test Automation Engineer with strong coding skills in Java.
  • Significant experience in automating various software layers (UI, services, APIs, etc.), debugging applications and automated test scripts, and optimizing their performance.
  • Ability to programmatically test your own code and contribute to code quality.
  • Minimum understanding of design patterns, data structures, and layered architecture, with the ability to apply these concepts in test environment.
  • Proven experience working within Agile process management methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
  • Ability to evaluate and select appropriate automated testing tools and frameworks to address specific testing challenges.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional and remote teams.
