Senior Automation Engineer Position

About this role:

  • We are looking for a skilled automation engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of our automated testing framework.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test suites using Playwright or similar modern frameworks.
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other QA engineers to ensure comprehensive test coverage and alignment with business requirements.
  • Build reusable test frameworks for UI, API, and end-to-end testing.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to ensure efficient deployments.
  • Identify and track defects using tools like JIRA and collaborate with engineering to drive resolution.
  • Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts for both manual and automated testing efforts.
  • Conduct performance testing, regression testing, and cross-browser testing to validate application quality.
  • Stay current with industry trends, tools, and best practices in test automation.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of total experience in software testing, with 3+ years specifically in test automation using Playwright or equivalent frameworks.
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, including experience writing test scripts for browser automation.
  • Good understanding of RESTful APIs and experience using tools like Postman or Swagger for API testing.
  • Experience with version control systems and collaborative workflows.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or CircleCI.
  • Solid grasp of Agile methodologies and comfort working in fast-paced iterative environments.
  • Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
