**About the Role**:

We are seeking a highly skilled Real Estate Accounting Professional to join our team. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of commercial properties owned by various funds and joint ventures.

Your primary duties will include:

  • Managing property-level accounting, including rent rolls, lease maintenance, cash management, and financial reporting.
  • Overseeing third-party property teams and reviewing their accounting practices to ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Preparing and reviewing operating and tax escalations, annual estimates, and quarterly and annual reconciliations.
  • Managing loan compliance, mortgage payments, lender reporting, and loan draw packages.
  • Providing comprehensive audit support and preparing unaudited and audited financial reports as required.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 5-8 years of experience in property accounting, with a strong background in commercial real estate.
  • Experience with fair value GAAP, tax accounting, and IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards).
  • Proficiency in tenant recoveries (CAM) and understanding of waterfall calculations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and communicate effectively.
  • Detail-oriented and able to multitask and prioritize tasks efficiently.
