Research Scientist Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Research Scientist to join our dynamic team dedicated to discovering and developing novel therapeutics, diagnostics, and devices for diseases with high socio-economic impact.

Key Responsibilities
  • Chemical Synthesis: Design and execute synthetic routes to prepare small molecules for drug discovery programs. Track structure-activity relationships (SAR) and optimize potency, selectivity, and properties of small molecules.
  • Mentorship and Guidance: Provide guidance and mentor junior colleagues, maintain accurate lab records, and contribute to technical reports.
Technical Skills and Qualifications
  • Organic Synthesis Expertise: Skilled in multistep organic synthesis, reaction optimization, compound isolation, chromatography (TLC, column, flash), spectroscopic analysis (NMR, LC-MS, HPLC), and purification techniques (recrystallization, precipitation).
  • Problem Solving and Communication: High level of creativity and productivity with strong synthetic chemistry problem-solving skills. Excellent oral and scientific/technical writing communication skills.
  • Teamwork and Safety: Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Commitment to lab safety and adherence to safety protocols.
