Strategic Product Lead for Cyber Security Solutions

BluOcean Cyber is a pioneering technology company specializing in innovative SaaS products for the Cyber Security domain. We are seeking an experienced Strategic Product Lead to spearhead our multidisciplinary team, collaborate with clients, business stakeholders, and cyber security experts to shape our strategic product vision, key use cases, and market needs.

This role demands an innovative product mindset, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to strategize the full lifecycle of a product, from conception to release, delivering user experience and driving market share growth. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional and engineering teams to drive product planning and release planning, in close collaboration with business and technology stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze market gaps, assess customer needs, and demand from a ROI and build-vs.-buy perspective.
  • Evaluate new product ideas and strategize opportunities for differentiation.
  • Lead functional use case development, product and feature definition, backlog, strategic roadmap, and backlog for product releases.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain production timelines across multiple teams.
  • Drive the execution of all processes in the product lifecycle, including product and market research, competitor analysis, planning, positioning, requirements, and roadmap development, and product launch.
  • Translate product strategy into detailed requirements for prototyping and final development by engineering teams.
  • Create product strategy documents that describe business cases, high-level use cases, technical requirements, revenue, and ROI.
  • Analyze market data to develop sales strategies and define product objectives for effective marketing communications.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, production, marketing, and sales teams in the development, QA, and release of products, balancing resources to ensure success for the entire organization.
  • Develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates offerings across primary market segments.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience working with SaaS applications, including knowledge of user experience design.
  • Analytical thinker who can formulate vision, structure thoughts, and articulate ideas in a simple manner.
  • Comfortable working in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment.
  • Organized, structured individual with experience working with scrum methodology and global teams.
  • Strong experience in a dynamic product management role.
  • Proven success in overseeing all elements of the product development lifecycle.
  • High effectiveness in managing cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in delivering finely tuned product marketing strategies.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, combined with strong presentation and public speaking skills.
  • Solid understanding of SaaS application business models.
  • Solid understanding of cyber security and risk management best practices.
  • Proven ability to manage a team, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to establish best practices for written communication and promote the use of templates and tools to maintain high-quality deliverables.
  • Strong listening and questioning skills, with the ability to manage challenging situations and influence decision-making.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Collaborative mindset, actively involving others to leverage strengths and address development needs.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience and location.
