Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Strategic Training Director to lead our Learning and Development initiatives and establish the WTF Academy as a premier platform for professional fitness courses.

About Us

WTF Gyms is a leading fitness organization committed to delivering exceptional member experiences through comprehensive training programs. Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in training and development, with hands-on experience in designing and implementing training frameworks, creating engaging content, and delivering impactful learning solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement a comprehensive training framework for all new hires, including front desk staff, trainers, housekeeping, and admin roles, covering key areas such as hygiene and grooming standards, technology usage, SOP compliance, customer service, and role-specific deliverables.
  2. Ensure all new hires undergo extensive induction training before deployment to the gym floor, incorporating onboarding sessions that cover WTF Gym culture, processes, and expectations.
  3. Design ongoing refresher courses and upskilling programs for existing employees, introducing certifications and performance-based rewards to encourage growth.
  4. Establish the WTF Academy as a premier platform for professional fitness courses, including Personal Training Certification Programs, Advanced Nutrition Courses, and Specialized Workshops, structured to span 3–5 months with a blend of theoretical and practical learning.
  5. Collaborate with industry experts to create high-quality course content and obtain necessary accreditations to ensure the courses meet global fitness and nutrition standards.
  6. Devise marketing strategies to enroll aspiring fitness professionals at a competitive fee structure, create a seamless student lifecycle process, and build a pipeline to hire top-performing students into WTF Gyms as trainers or staff.
  7. Recruit and lead a team of trainers, curriculum designers, and support staff for L&D and the Academy, providing mentorship and regular performance reviews, and work closely with operations, sales, and marketing teams to ensure alignment between training programs and business objectives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Education, or a related field, with certification in Fitness Training or Nutrition being highly desirable, and a Master's degree in Education or Organizational Development being a plus.
  • Minimum of 8–10 years in training and development, with at least 3 years in a leadership role, proven experience as a trainer in fitness, wellness, or related industries, hands-on experience designing and delivering training programs, and experience building and managing teams and training departments.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities, expertise in curriculum design, content development, and training delivery, excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, proficiency in leveraging technology for learning, strategic thinking with a results-oriented mindset.
