About the Role

This role involves Pharmaceutical Scouring (API/KSM) and Project Management experience in Contract Research and Contract Manufacturing (CDMO) in API/Intermediates/ Pharma/Agro.

Qualifications:

• Engineering or Master's of Science/Chemistry degree required; MBA preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Lead ongoing and new projects from process development stage to manufacturing.
• Responsible for on-time delivery of the project within stipulated scope and cost.
• Sourcing pharmaceutical intermediates, KSM, Raw materials, and related services, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.
• Integrate all project activities and processes, from initial assessment and planning to final delivery & close-out.
• This role is essentially optimizing the supply chain, following project management practices and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Supplier Management:

• Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with reliable suppliers for pharmaceutical Intermediates, KSM, raw materials, finished goods, and services.
• Conduct supplier audits, negotiations, and performance assessments to ensure compliance with quality, regulatory, and cost standards.
• Maintain supplier databases and manage ongoing supplier communications to ensure supply continuity and risk mitigation.

Sourcing Strategy Development:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand sourcing requirements and develop strategic procurement plans.
• Gather market intelligence on emerging pharmaceutical trends, pricing, and new suppliers.
• Prepare regular reports on sourcing performance, cost savings, supplier performance, and market conditions.

Cost Control and Negotiations:

• Lead price negotiations to ensure competitive pricing while maintaining high quality and service levels.
• Drive cost reduction initiatives while meeting production timelines and quality standards.
• Prepare and manage budgets and sales forecasts for MIS.

Compliance and Risk Management:

• Ensure all sourcing activities comply with relevant regulations (GxP, FDA, EMA, etc.) and industry standards.
• Monitor and address supply chain risks, such as potential shortages, regulatory issues, and geopolitical factors.
• Oversee the documentation and reporting of sourcing activities, ensuring full compliance with internal and external audit requirements.

Inventory and Supply Chain Management:

• Work closely with logistics team to ensure timely delivery and minimize supply disruptions.
• Collaborate with internal/external stakeholders to forecast demand and ensure optimal stock levels of critical materials.

Preferred Experience:

• 6-12 years out of which minimum 5-6 years with CDMO organizations is mandatory.
