Senior Navigation Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Navigation Engineer to develop cutting-edge autonomous vehicle systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in robotics, ROS2, sensor fusion, and navigation algorithms, with hands-on experience in implementing and optimizing Ros2 and Auto ware-based solutions.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement advanced navigation algorithms, including path planning, localization, and mapping.
  • Develop and optimize motion planning systems for dynamic obstacle avoidance and trajectory generation.
  • Integrate semantic understanding of environments into navigation systems for enhanced decision-making.
  • Strong knowledge of localization techniques, including SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping) and GNSS-aided navigation.
  • Proficiency in state estimation methods such as Kalman Filters (KF), Extended Kalman Filters (EKF), and Particle Filters.
  • Implement real-time sensor fusion techniques to ensure robust perception in dynamic environments.
  • Configure and customize Autoware modules for specific vehicle platforms.
  • Optimize Autoware's planning and control algorithms for real-world application.
  • Conduct simulations and real-world tests to validate navigation algorithms under various conditions.
  • Experience with simulation tools like AWSIM, Gazebo or CARLA for testing navigation systems.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (perception, control, hardware) to ensure system-level integration.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to building a high-performing team.
  • Maintain detailed technical documentation of algorithms, software architecture, test results, and system configurations.
