Internal Auditor Role

As an internal auditor, you will be responsible for conducting thorough and independent audits to ensure the company's internal controls are functioning effectively.

  • Audit Planning and Execution
    • Plan and execute internal audits across multiple departments and functions to assess risk management processes and operational procedures.
    • Conduct thorough analysis of audit findings and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Identifying Weaknesses and Irregularities
    • Identify areas of weakness or irregularity in systems and develop corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies by implementing effective controls.
  • Audit Reporting and Follow-up
    • Prepare comprehensive audit reports detailing findings, analysis, and recommendations.
    • Follow up on audit recommendations to ensure corrective actions are implemented and results are measured.
  • Collaboration and Knowledge Management
    • Collaborate with management and other departments to resolve issues identified during audits.
    • Stay updated with changes in auditing standards, accounting principles, and regulatory requirements through ongoing training and professional development.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA, CA, or CIA certification preferred).
  • Experience: 9-10 years for senior auditor position.
  • Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of auditing processes and internal control frameworks.
  • Proficient in accounting software and extremely proficient in MS Excel, MS Word.
  • Excellent report-writing and communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Work Environment
  • Position at Head Office with occasional travel for on-site audits.
  • May require working under tight deadlines and handling multiple audit assignments simultaneously.
