Senior Sales Team Lead Job Description

This is a critical leadership role for our sales team, responsible for driving performance and exceeding sales targets.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in leading high-performing sales teams, with a strong focus on pipeline management, sales coaching, and communication.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive sales performance by establishing and executing effective sales strategies and processes.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing sales team to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Collaborate with other sales leaders to share best practices and solve problems collectively.
  • Ensure consistent and effective communication by holding regular team meetings and sharing performance expectations.
  • Assess current sales processes and identify opportunities for improvement, and build/execute plans to implement.
  • Utilize data and reporting tools to identify best practices, rep behavior trends, and gaps in revenue targets, and make recommendations to senior leadership.

Requirements:

  • Results-oriented leader with a history of driving performance to exceed goals.
  • 3 or more years of prior experience leading a team of 6+ in a tele sales environment preferred.
  • Excellent verbal, presentation, and written communication skills.
  • Minimum 5+ years of B2B SaaS & Enterprise Sales with ticket size of $350k+ for the US region is mandatory.
  • Customer success or account management experience.
  • 5 or more years of leadership experience (Leading, Mentoring SDRs, ISRs and BDRs).
  • Experience building strong relationships, managing conflict, and leading by example.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce CRM, G Suite / Microsoft preferred.
  • Track record of coaching and developing low performers to reach target attainment.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand data/reporting trends, showcase / duplicate success and identify / correct opportunities.
  • Adaptable and able to effectively multi-task in a dynamic environment.
