Job Description

We are seeking a talented and experienced Design Team Member to join our design team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of fashion design principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  1. Maintaining and building design workflows that ensure all designs meet style guides, design language, and quality standards.
  2. Maintaining and tracking the departmental fashion calendar.
  3. Researching and forecasting evolving fashion trends and bringing those insights into the design process.
  4. Monitoring the competition and staying aware of market changes and developments.
  5. Performing daily organizational and maintenance tasks, including styling the range, embroidery development, and sample production.
  6. Organizing styling materials and resources for sampling.
  7. Conceptualizing, creating, and delivering strong design solutions, presenting ideas, and participating in key brainstorms and meetings.
  8. Partnering with Design Merchant teams.
People Management Responsibilities
  • Coordinating with Sampling, Pattern & Khaka's masters and Embroiders.
  • C Coaching and providing technical guidance to other designers on the team.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • A diploma or degree in Design from a reputable institution (NIFT/NID/Pearl Academy etc).
  • Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop/Excel/Corel Draw.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in the field.
  • An understanding of Indian ethnic wear design sensibilities, fabric, and styling.
  • A proven track record of designing an eye-catching apparel portfolio with a design team.
