**Job Overview**

The primary goal of this position is to oversee and coordinate the development of component specifications, ensuring they align with customer and regulatory requirements.

  • Create and Maintain Specifications:
  • Develop detailed technical specifications for mechanical/electrical components.
  • Standardize product specifications in line with customer and regulatory demands.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Review and approve engineering drawings.
  • Cross-functional collaboration with engineering, sourcing, quality, and production teams.
  • Interface with suppliers to obtain technical data and ensure specification adherence.
  • Support efforts to standardize components and reduce part proliferation.
  • Maintain component libraries (in PLM or ERP systems).

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Ensure specifications meet relevant international standards (ISO, RoHS, REACH, etc.).
  • Maintain up-to-date technical documentation in internal systems.
  • Handle engineering change requests (ECRs) and change orders (ECOs).
  • Update and communicate specification changes across departments.
  • Support for new product introduction (NPI) processes.
