Role Summary:

  • This position is responsible for leading the development and execution of business strategies for Small Medium Enterprise (SME) clients in the region.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

Strategic/Managerial Responsibilities

  • You will develop and implement plans that align with division objectives.
  • Support workforce planning by providing input on departmental forecasts.
  • Manage and control departmental frameworks, provide guidance, ensure implementation and review of work processes to achieve high performance standards and continuous improvement.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute SME business strategies in the region in line with targets.
  • Prepare annual business development plans aligned with bank strategy for SME clients in the region.
  • Achieve set targets in yearly budget for new and existing clients, manage budget and financials related to these targets.
  • Articulate region-specific growth strategies for various products offered by the organization and collaborate with Product Development Team.
  • Maintain a strong team through career management, coaching and mentoring of critical talent.
  • Formulate recruitment and resourcing strategies (e.g., location strategies).
  • Review and coordinate quality principles and processes.
  • Sponsor quality standards in management initiatives in the region.
  • Implement stringent fraud control policies.
  • Minimize Non-Performing Assets (NPAs) in the region.

People Management or Self-Management Responsibilities

  • Develop a continuous talent pipeline for key roles in the department and mentor high potential talent.
  • Monitor and enable achievement of goals and key performance indicators for direct reports, ensure effective implementation of performance management process in the department.
  • Develop talent within the department by providing guidance, ongoing feedback, coaching and development opportunities to individuals to enable achievement of defined goals.

Risk and Internal Control Responsibilities

  • Implement risk-related policies and processes for the department ensuring that these meet regulatory and internal control requirements.
  • Review implementation of internal control systems in line with relevant operating procedures and regulatory requirements and take corrective action based on audit findings.
